The primary goal of this course is to provide students tools for building their own real estate practice on a solid foundation. Discussion topics will include teams vs. solo practitioners, budgeting of expenses, and the projection of revenue. The instructor will share insights gained from the 6-year study of his own practice - number of assignments per year, time required to secure and executed assignments, sources of business, etc.

Ed Riggins, SIOR, CCIM | Cresa Atlanta
Ed Riggins is a Senior Vice President in the Atlanta office of Cresa where he has often been among the top producers since moving his practice to the firm in 2000. A 30-year real estate veteran, Ed provides real estate advisory (tenant rep) services to corporate clients. Prior to joining Cresa, Ed worked on the agency (landlord rep) side of the business, representing both institutional and entrepreneurial landlords. A Life Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS®, he is among less than 1% of practitioners nationally to hold both the SIOR and CCIM designations. He speaks on a variety of topics to business groups, and he has taught courses for GIRE since 2001. Ed has also performed live standup and improv comedy. Ed's articles have appeared in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Air Cargo World, Today's Facility Manager, Black's Guide, and Georgia Engineer magazines.
