The Northwest submarket of Atlanta has been one of the city's fastest growing submarkets over the past few years, especially since the announcement of the newly constructed SunTrust Park and mixed-use development, The Battery. With its proximity to North Atlanta's large affluent suburban populations, highway transportation access, and reasonable real estate costs in an ever-changing market place, the Northwest continues to have high demand from businesses across the board. In addition to customer demand, the Northwest continues to be an attractive submarket for real estate owners and developers. The purpose of this program will be to provide participants with a better understanding of why the Northwest Atlanta Submarket has grown rapidly in recent years, market fundamentals that make it attractive to office users and owners, and the underlying principles behind the relocation of the Atlanta Braves MLB franchisee from Downtown. The agenda begins with two panel discussions; the first highlighting new developments and changing environment of the submarket from all sectors of the real estate industry, followed by a discussion hyper focused on individuals involved in the development of SunTrust Park/The Battery and the factors that made the Northwest submarket become the new home of the Braves mixed-use development. Following the panel, we will be walking across the newly constructed pedestrian bridge over I-75 to tour SK Realty's Circle 75 office building, followed by an in-depth tour of the newly constructed Braves SunTrust Park and The Battery.
